Out of all the pies I’ve eaten, Cherry Pie has to be my favorite. Key Lime Pie comes in close second. Ever since I was five, my mother and I have always made this Classic Cherry Pie for special occasions or just dessert. I’ve never lost my taste for cherries…or dessert. This recipe has been a family favorite for years. A simple recipe easy to make for busy days.
I love the way the pie smells when its baking, but it tastes even better. It’s really easy to make, and product is always the best. Making it is a fun family activity. I enjoyed sharing this recipe with you and hope you love it!
Enjoy!
Classic Cherry Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 pie crust discs/balls, thawed
- 2 (21 oz) cans cherry pie filling
Directions:
- Preheat oven 350 F.
- Thaw pie crust and form to fit pie pan, leaving the sides a little higher than the rim of the pie pan.
- Pour cherry pie filling in pie pan and smooth. Form the lattice to go on top. Fold the sides of the pie crust over the edges of the lattice for a neater look.
- Place in the for 25-30 minutes. You may want to use a pie crust rim so the edges don’t burn. Wait for the pie to cool before cutting. Serve and top with whipped cream or ice cream.
